UP on High Alert: Yogi Adityanath Orders Maximum Security Around CM Residence, VVIP Zones and Kanwar Yatra Routes
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has been placed on an enhanced security footing following intelligence inputs warning of a possible terror strike targeting the Chief Minister’s residence, the state Secretariat and the routes used during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra.
The alert was issued after reports suggested that terrorist groups based in Jammu and Kashmir could attempt to carry out an attack.
Acting on the intelligence, security agencies have sounded a high alert across the state.
Official sources said the warning prompted an immediate review of security arrangements at locations considered highly sensitive.
As part of the exercise, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally inspected the security set-up at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur.
Thereafter, comprehensive security audits and intensified vigilance were directed in Lucknow, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Noida, and several other districts through which the Kanwar Yatra is passing.
The state government has instructed police authorities in every district to maintain maximum preparedness and respond without delay to any suspicious activity or intelligence input.
Senior officers have been told to ensure round-the-clock surveillance and strengthen preventive measures at vulnerable locations.
Additional police personnel have been deployed at all identified sensitive points, while law enforcement agencies have been asked to maintain strict monitoring throughout the Kanwar pilgrimage.
Security around religious gatherings and major public places has also been reinforced to eliminate any possibility of disruption.
Late on Saturday night, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath convened a high-level meeting with Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna, Additional Director General (Law and Order) Amitabh Yash and other senior officials.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the police leadership to remain fully alert, intensify intelligence gathering and deal firmly with any attempt to disturb peace or public order.

लखनऊ: उत्तर प्रदेश में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को अभूतपूर्व स्तर पर पहुंचा दिया गया है। खुफिया एजेंसियों से मिले इनपुट के बाद मुख्यमंत्री आवास, सचिवालय तथा कांवड़ यात्रा के प्रमुख मार्गों पर संभावित आतंकी खतरे को देखते हुए पूरे प्रदेश में हाई अलर्ट घोषित कर दिया गया है।
सूचना मिली है कि जम्मू-कश्मीर से जुड़े आतंकी तत्व किसी बड़ी वारदात को अंजाम देने की कोशिश कर सकते हैं। इसके बाद सुरक्षा एजेंसियां पूरी तरह सक्रिय हो गई हैं।
विश्वसनीय सूत्रों के अनुसार संवेदनशील स्थलों की सुरक्षा का तत्काल पुनर्मूल्यांकन किया गया है। इसी क्रम में मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने गोरखपुर स्थित गोरखनाथ मंदिर की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था का स्वयं निरीक्षण किया।
इसके बाद लखनऊ, मेरठ, गाजियाबाद, नोएडा सहित कांवड़ यात्रा से जुड़े अन्य जिलों में चौकसी और सुरक्षा प्रबंध और अधिक मजबूत करने के निर्देश जारी किए गए।
राज्य सरकार ने सभी जिलों के पुलिस अधिकारियों को पूरी मुस्तैदी के साथ ड्यूटी निभाने तथा किसी भी संदिग्ध सूचना या गतिविधि पर बिना विलंब कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित करने का आदेश दिया है।
वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को चौबीसों घंटे निगरानी रखने और संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में सुरक्षा उपायों को और प्रभावी बनाने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।
संवेदनशील स्थानों पर अतिरिक्त पुलिस बल की तैनाती की जा रही है। कांवड़ यात्रा मार्गों, धार्मिक स्थलों और भीड़भाड़ वाले इलाकों में सुरक्षा घेरा और मजबूत किया गया है ताकि किसी भी प्रकार की अप्रिय घटना की संभावना को पूरी तरह रोका जा सके।
शनिवार देर रात मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने पुलिस महानिदेशक राजीव कृष्ण, अपर पुलिस महानिदेशक (कानून-व्यवस्था) अमिताभ यश तथा अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के साथ उच्चस्तरीय बैठक कर सुरक्षा तैयारियों की समीक्षा की।
बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री ने स्पष्ट निर्देश दिया कि प्रदेश में कानून-व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए पूरी सतर्कता बरती जाए, खुफिया निगरानी और तेज की जाए तथा शांति भंग करने की किसी भी कोशिश से सख्ती से निपटा जाए।
