Yogi Adityanath Accuses Congress, SP of Fueling Unrest With Foreign Support Amid Exam Leak Protests
Gorakhpur/ Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP), alleging that both Opposition parties were attempting to foment unrest across the country with the backing of foreign funds while exploiting the agitation over examination paper leaks for political gain.
His remarks came a day after Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, staged a sit-in outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence in New Delhi.
The demonstrators were removed by Delhi Police from the vicinity of Lok Kalyan Marg, detained briefly and released later in the evening.
Speaking at a public programme in Gorakhpur, Adityanath alleged that the Congress and its allies had earlier harmed society through riots, prolonged curfews and corruption when they were in power.
He claimed that after moving into the Opposition, they were now trying to destabilise the country with the help of foreign financial support and create divisions among people.
Continuing his criticism, the Chief Minister accused Opposition leaders of misleading students and using the ongoing examination controversy to provoke disorder instead of addressing genuine concerns.
According to him, attempts were being made to exploit the sentiments of young people to generate instability.
His comments also referred to Monday’s massive youth march towards Parliament, organised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), during which thousands of protesters demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over repeated examination paper leaks.
Delhi Police had dispersed the demonstrators using tear gas shells and lathi charges after they attempted to move towards Parliament.
Targeting the Opposition over the protest, Adityanath asserted that political parties were placing partisan interests above national welfare.
He alleged that they intended to use students as a shield to surround Parliament, create chaos and weaken democratic institutions.
He further accused the Congress of disrespecting Dr B.R. Ambedkar and attempting to challenge India’s democratic framework by organising demonstrations outside the Prime Minister’s residence.
The Chief Minister also claimed that communal violence and prolonged curfews no longer had any place in what he described as a “New India”.
Since such methods were no longer possible, he alleged, the Opposition had shifted towards creating confusion and instability by spreading what he termed a negative narrative.
Political temperatures also rose in Lucknow, where the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress organised parallel demonstrations over Tuesday’s protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence.
While the BJP described the Congress agitation as irresponsible and against national interests, the Congress accused the government of suppressing democratic voices and condemned the treatment meted out to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra during their detention.
Both parties announced plans to march towards each other’s political headquarters.
The BJP proposed to surround the Congress office on Mall Avenue, while Congress workers declared their intention to march to the Chief Minister’s official residence at 5, Kalidas Marg.
Heavy police deployment, however, prevented either side from reaching its intended destination.
Congress activists, led by Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai, were halted outside the party office after police erected barricades in the area.
Addressing supporters, Rai accused the BJP government of misusing its authority and alleged that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had been subjected to humiliation during their detention in Delhi.
Following the restrictions imposed by the police, Congress workers staged a sit-in near the barricades while raising slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Some protesters attempted to breach the barricades but were restrained by security personnel. Several senior Congress leaders, including Ajay Rai, were later taken into preventive custody and removed from the site.
Meanwhile, the BJP’s proposed march began from a VVIP guest house located near the Congress office. By the time Uttar Pradesh BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary arrived with party workers, the Congress demonstration had already concluded.
BJP supporters marched towards the Congress office chanting slogans against Rahul Gandhi before being stopped by police personnel.
Speaking to reporters, Chaudhary said the BJP’s protest was aimed at opposing what he described as the Congress party’s anti-national activities.
Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya had also criticised the Congress-led demonstration in Delhi, calling it irresponsible and alleging that the protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence amounted to an attempt to compromise national security.

गोरखपुर/लखनऊ: उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने बुधवार को कांग्रेस और समाजवादी पार्टी पर तीखा हमला बोलते हुए आरोप लगाया कि दोनों विपक्षी दल परीक्षा प्रश्नपत्र लीक के मुद्दे को राजनीतिक हथियार बनाकर विदेशी धन के सहारे देश में अस्थिरता और अराजकता फैलाने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री की यह टिप्पणी लोकसभा में विपक्ष के नेता राहुल गांधी द्वारा कांग्रेस सांसद प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा और समाजवादी पार्टी अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव के साथ प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के आधिकारिक आवास के बाहर दिए गए धरने के एक दिन बाद आई।
दिल्ली पुलिस ने प्रदर्शनकारियों को लोक कल्याण मार्ग क्षेत्र से हटाकर हिरासत में लिया था और बाद में उन्हें रिहा कर दिया गया।
गोरखपुर में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि सत्ता में रहने के दौरान कांग्रेस और उसके सहयोगियों ने दंगों, लंबे कर्फ्यू और भ्रष्टाचार के जरिए समाज को नुकसान पहुंचाया।
उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि अब विपक्ष में रहने के कारण वही दल विदेशी आर्थिक सहायता के बल पर देश में अशांति फैलाने और समाज को विभाजित करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने आगे कहा कि विपक्ष छात्र समुदाय को गुमराह कर परीक्षा विवाद को अराजकता फैलाने के साधन के रूप में इस्तेमाल करना चाहता है। उनके अनुसार युवाओं की भावनाओं को भड़काकर राजनीतिक लाभ लेने की कोशिश की जा रही है।
सोमवार को संसद की ओर बढ़ रहे हजारों युवाओं के मार्च का उल्लेख करते हुए योगी ने कहा कि यह प्रदर्शन कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (सीजेपी) के नेतृत्व में आयोजित किया गया था, जिसमें केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान के इस्तीफे की मांग की गई।
प्रदर्शनकारियों को रोकने के लिए दिल्ली पुलिस ने आंसू गैस के गोले छोड़े और लाठीचार्ज भी किया था।
विपक्ष पर निशाना साधते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने आरोप लगाया कि कुछ राजनीतिक दल राष्ट्रीय हितों से ऊपर अपनी राजनीति को रख रहे हैं।
उनका कहना था कि छात्रों को आगे कर संसद का घेराव करने, अव्यवस्था फैलाने और लोकतांत्रिक संस्थाओं को कमजोर करने की कोशिश की जा रही है।
उन्होंने कांग्रेस पर डॉ. भीमराव आंबेडकर का अपमान करने और प्रधानमंत्री आवास के बाहर प्रदर्शन कर लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था को चुनौती देने का भी आरोप लगाया।
योगी आदित्यनाथ ने यह भी कहा कि “नए भारत” में दंगे और लंबे समय तक कर्फ्यू जैसी स्थितियों के लिए कोई स्थान नहीं है।
उन्होंने दावा किया कि ऐसे हालात पैदा न कर पाने के कारण विपक्ष अब नकारात्मक माहौल बनाकर भ्रम और अस्थिरता फैलाने का प्रयास कर रहा है।
इधर, लखनऊ में भी राजनीतिक माहौल गरमा गया, जहां भारतीय जनता पार्टी और कांग्रेस ने प्रधानमंत्री आवास के बाहर हुए धरने को लेकर अलग-अलग प्रदर्शन किए।
भाजपा ने कांग्रेस के आंदोलन को गैर-जिम्मेदार और राष्ट्रविरोधी करार दिया, जबकि कांग्रेस ने राहुल गांधी और प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा के साथ कथित दुर्व्यवहार का आरोप लगाते हुए सरकार की कार्रवाई की आलोचना की।
दोनों दलों ने एक-दूसरे के राजनीतिक ठिकानों तक मार्च निकालने की घोषणा की। भाजपा ने मॉल एवेन्यू स्थित कांग्रेस कार्यालय का घेराव करने की योजना बनाई, जबकि कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने मुख्यमंत्री आवास, 5 कालिदास मार्ग, तक मार्च करने का ऐलान किया।
हालांकि, भारी पुलिस बंदोबस्त के चलते दोनों पक्ष अपने निर्धारित स्थलों तक नहीं पहुंच सके।
उत्तर प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष अजय राय के नेतृत्व में कार्यकर्ताओं को पार्टी कार्यालय के बाहर ही पुलिस ने बैरिकेड लगाकर रोक दिया।
समर्थकों को संबोधित करते हुए राय ने भाजपा सरकार पर सत्ता के दुरुपयोग का आरोप लगाया और कहा कि दिल्ली में राहुल गांधी तथा प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा के साथ अपमानजनक व्यवहार किया गया।
पुलिस द्वारा रोके जाने के बाद कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता बैरिकेड के पास धरने पर बैठ गए और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी तथा मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के खिलाफ नारेबाजी की।
कुछ प्रदर्शनकारियों ने बैरिकेड पार करने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन पुलिस ने उन्हें रोक दिया। बाद में अजय राय समेत कई वरिष्ठ नेताओं को एहतियातन हिरासत में लेकर वहां से हटाया गया।
उधर, भाजपा का विरोध मार्च कांग्रेस कार्यालय के निकट स्थित वीवीआईपी गेस्ट हाउस से शुरू हुआ। प्रदेश भाजपा अध्यक्ष पंकज चौधरी के पहुंचने तक कांग्रेस का प्रदर्शन समाप्त हो चुका था।
इसके बाद भाजपा कार्यकर्ता राहुल गांधी के खिलाफ नारे लगाते हुए आगे बढ़े, लेकिन पुलिस ने उन्हें भी रास्ते में रोक दिया।
पत्रकारों से बातचीत में पंकज चौधरी ने कहा कि भाजपा का प्रदर्शन कांग्रेस की कथित राष्ट्रविरोधी गतिविधियों के विरोध में आयोजित किया गया था।
इससे पहले दिन में उपमुख्यमंत्री केशव प्रसाद मौर्य ने भी दिल्ली में प्रधानमंत्री आवास के बाहर हुए कांग्रेस के प्रदर्शन को गैर-जिम्मेदार बताते हुए आरोप लगाया कि इस तरह की गतिविधियां देश की सुरक्षा से समझौता करने का प्रयास हैं।
