Yogi Adityanath Announces 1 Lakh Government Jobs in Six Months, Targets Paper Leak and Recruitment Mafia
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that 1 lakh young candidates will receive government appointment letters in the next six months, while stressing transparent recruitment and faster examinations.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister says the state will continue accelerating recruitment as concerns over examination irregularities and paper leaks dominate the wider political debate.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday set an ambitious recruitment target for the state, announcing that appointment letters for government jobs would be issued to one lakh young candidates over the coming six months.
The announcement came at a time when alleged paper leaks and recruitment-related irregularities have triggered protests and political debate in several parts of the country.
Seeking to reinforce his government’s position on jobs and examination integrity, Adityanath said the Uttar Pradesh recruitment system was being reshaped around transparency, speed and merit.
The Chief Minister announced at a ceremony at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, where 3,446 newly selected technical assistants for the Agriculture Department received appointment letters.
Another 126 candidates selected as mandi secretaries through the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission were also given their appointments under the state’s Mission Rozgar initiative.
According to Adityanath, more than 9.30 lakh young people have received government appointment letters during the past nine years.
He said the recruitment process was conducted without discrimination and in accordance with merit and reservation provisions.
Addressing the newly appointed candidates, the Chief Minister said transparent recruitment should be matched by responsible service.
He urged them to perform their duties honestly and contribute to the state and the country, linking public employment with the government’s broader “Nation First” approach.
Adityanath also issued a strong message to recruitment agencies, commissions and government boards.
He said they had been given operational freedom but must ensure that the recruitment process moves within a fixed timeframe.
Under the timeline suggested by the Chief Minister, recruitment advertisements should be issued within a month after receiving a requisition, examinations should follow within the next two months, and the entire selection process should ideally be completed within six months.
He said delays in recruitment waste the energy and productive years of young people, adding that government institutions must create a system that allows candidates to move forward without spending years waiting for examination results.
The Chief Minister used the occasion to attack previous governments in Uttar Pradesh, particularly the Samajwadi Party.
Without limiting his criticism to administrative delays, Adityanath alleged that recruitment processes before 2017 were affected by corruption, extortion and court intervention.
He claimed that the government had since moved against organised groups involved in cheating and paper leaks, saying the assets of alleged members of the “exam mafia” had been seized as part of the crackdown.
Adityanath also highlighted changes in the functioning of the Uttar Pradesh Board examinations.
He said that before 2017, the examination and result process often consumed several months, leaving students with little time to focus on their next academic session.
According to the Chief Minister, the state now conducts examinations for about 56 lakh UP Board students in around two weeks and declares the results within the following two weeks.
The Chief Minister said the faster recruitment and examination system was part of a larger effort to make young people employment-ready not only within Uttar Pradesh but also for opportunities abroad.
Referring to the UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026, Adityanath said a 240-member Japanese delegation had visited the state and expressed interest in employing young people from Uttar Pradesh.
He added that countries including Germany and Israel were also offering overseas employment opportunities to the state’s youth.
Adityanath said around 5,000 workers from Uttar Pradesh had travelled to Israel for employment and were earning salaries of about Rs 1.5 lakh per month, according to his statement.
He said they were able to send money back to their families and were receiving support for accommodation and food.
Shifting to concerns over rising sugar prices, the Chief Minister rejected suggestions that Uttar Pradesh could face a shortage of the commodity.
He said the state consumes about four lakh tonnes of sugar every month and currently has an available stock of around 28 lakh tonnes, which he said was sufficient for approximately seven months.
Adityanath further said the crushing season was expected to begin from October 15, after which sugar mills would add substantially to the available supply. He projected fresh production of about 90 lakh tonnes.
The Chief Minister also used the sugar sector to draw a contrast with previous governments.
He alleged that large dues to sugarcane farmers remained unresolved before the BJP came to power and accused earlier SP-BSP governments of closing 29 sugar mills between 2007 and 2017.
He claimed that 21 mills were sold at prices below their actual value and cited a mill in the Gorakhpur region as an example. Adityanath said the state now has 122 operational sugar mills.
The announcement of another one lakh government appointments places employment at the centre of the Uttar Pradesh government’s political and administrative messaging.
By combining recruitment reforms, faster examinations, action against cheating networks, overseas job opportunities and claims of industrial recovery, Adityanath sought to present his government’s youth policy as extending beyond conventional government employment.
The coming six months will now be significant for the government as it attempts to meet the one-lakh appointment target and demonstrate that its recruitment machinery can deliver selections on the speed, scale and transparency promised by the Chief Minister.

इसी अवसर पर उत्तर प्रदेश अधीनस्थ सेवा चयन आयोग के माध्यम से चुने गए 126 मंडी सचिवों को भी नियुक्ति पत्र प्रदान किए गए।
योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि पिछले नौ वर्षों में राज्य में 9.30 लाख से अधिक युवाओं को सरकारी नियुक्ति पत्र दिए जा चुके हैं।
उनके अनुसार, चयन प्रक्रिया में न तो किसी प्रकार का भेदभाव किया गया और न ही पात्रता और आरक्षण नियमों की अनदेखी हुई।
नवनियुक्त कर्मचारियों को संबोधित करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यदि सरकार निष्पक्षता से युवाओं को अवसर दे रही है, तो चयनित युवाओं को भी पूरी ईमानदारी के साथ अपने दायित्व निभाने चाहिए।
उन्होंने सरकारी सेवा को केवल रोजगार नहीं बल्कि समाज और राष्ट्र के प्रति जिम्मेदारी से जोड़कर देखा।
मुख्यमंत्री ने भर्ती आयोगों और बोर्डों के लिए भी एक स्पष्ट समयसीमा तय करने की बात कही। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार उनके कामकाज में हस्तक्षेप नहीं करना चाहती, लेकिन भर्ती प्रक्रिया में अनावश्यक देरी स्वीकार नहीं की जा सकती।
योगी के अनुसार, विभाग से मांग आने के बाद भर्ती का विज्ञापन एक महीने के भीतर जारी होना चाहिए और अगले दो महीनों में परीक्षा करा ली जानी चाहिए।
उन्होंने कहा कि पूरी चयन प्रक्रिया को लगभग छह महीने में पूरा करने की व्यवस्था विकसित की जानी चाहिए।
उन्होंने कहा कि लंबे समय तक भर्ती परिणामों का इंतजार युवाओं के जीवन के महत्वपूर्ण वर्ष छीन लेता है। इसलिए परीक्षा और चयन संस्थाओं को ऐसी व्यवस्था बनानी होगी, जिसमें युवाओं की ऊर्जा वर्षों तक प्रतीक्षा में बर्बाद न हो।
मुख्यमंत्री ने अपने भाषण में पूर्ववर्ती सरकारों पर भी तीखा हमला बोला। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि 2017 से पहले उत्तर प्रदेश में कई भर्ती प्रक्रियाएं भ्रष्टाचार, कथित वसूली और विवादों में फंस जाती थीं, जिसके कारण मामले अदालतों तक पहुंचते थे और चयन पर रोक लग जाती थी।
योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि उनकी सरकार ने नकल और परीक्षा में धांधली से जुड़े संगठित गिरोहों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की है।
उन्होंने दावा किया कि ऐसे नेटवर्क से जुड़े लोगों की संपत्तियों को जब्त कर युवाओं के भविष्य के साथ खिलवाड़ करने वालों पर शिकंजा कसा गया।
उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश बोर्ड परीक्षा व्यवस्था में बदलाव का भी उल्लेख किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पहले परीक्षा और परिणामों की पूरी प्रक्रिया में कई महीने लग जाते थे, जिससे अगले शैक्षणिक सत्र के लिए विद्यार्थियों के पास बहुत कम समय बचता था।
उन्होंने दावा किया कि अब लगभग 56 लाख विद्यार्थियों की बोर्ड परीक्षाएं करीब 14 दिनों में पूरी कर ली जाती हैं और उसके बाद अगले 14 दिनों के भीतर परिणाम घोषित करने की व्यवस्था लागू की गई है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने रोजगार के अवसरों को केवल सरकारी नौकरी तक सीमित नहीं बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तर प्रदेश के युवाओं के लिए अब विदेशों में भी रोजगार के नए रास्ते खुल रहे हैं।
यूपी-जापान इन्वेस्टमेंट मीट 2026 का उल्लेख करते हुए योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि 240 सदस्यीय जापानी प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने उत्तर प्रदेश के युवाओं को रोजगार देने में रुचि दिखाई है। उन्होंने कहा कि जर्मनी और इजरायल से भी रोजगार के अवसर सामने आए हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री के अनुसार, करीब 5,000 युवा रोजगार के लिए इजरायल गए हैं और वहां उन्हें लगभग 1.5 लाख रुपये मासिक वेतन मिल रहा है।
उन्होंने कहा कि आवास और भोजन की सुविधाएं भी उपलब्ध कराई जा रही हैं और ये युवा अपनी कमाई का हिस्सा परिवारों को भेज रहे हैं।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने चीनी की बढ़ती कीमतों को लेकर भी स्थिति स्पष्ट की। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तर प्रदेश में चीनी की कमी नहीं है और उपलब्ध स्टॉक राज्य की जरूरतों को कई महीनों तक पूरा करने के लिए पर्याप्त है।
मुख्यमंत्री के अनुसार, उत्तर प्रदेश में हर महीने लगभग चार लाख टन चीनी की खपत होती है, जबकि वर्तमान में करीब 28 लाख टन चीनी उपलब्ध है। उन्होंने कहा कि 15 अक्टूबर से चीनी मिलों के संचालन के बाद उत्पादन में और वृद्धि होगी और लगभग 90 लाख टन अतिरिक्त चीनी का उत्पादन होने की उम्मीद है।
योगी आदित्यनाथ ने चीनी उद्योग की स्थिति की तुलना भी पूर्ववर्ती सरकारों से की। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि पहले गन्ना किसानों का बड़ा भुगतान बकाया रहता था और 2007 से 2017 के बीच सपा-बसपा सरकारों के दौरान 29 चीनी मिलें बंद कर दी गईं।
उन्होंने दावा किया कि 21 मिलों को कम कीमतों पर बेचा गया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि भाजपा सरकार के कार्यकाल में चीनी उद्योग को फिर से सक्रिय करने की दिशा में काम हुआ है और वर्तमान में राज्य में 122 चीनी मिलें संचालित हो रही हैं।
एक ही कार्यक्रम में रोजगार, परीक्षा सुधार, भर्ती की समयसीमा, पेपर लीक के खिलाफ कार्रवाई, विदेशी रोजगार और चीनी उद्योग जैसे मुद्दों को उठाकर योगी आदित्यनाथ ने युवाओं और अर्थव्यवस्था से जुड़े व्यापक संदेश देने की कोशिश की।
अगले छह महीने अब राज्य सरकार के लिए महत्वपूर्ण होंगे, क्योंकि एक लाख सरकारी नियुक्ति पत्र देने के मुख्यमंत्री के लक्ष्य की सफलता सीधे भर्ती प्रक्रिया की गति और पारदर्शिता पर निर्भर करेगी।
सरकार के लिए यह अवधि उसके रोजगार संबंधी दावों को जमीन पर साबित करने की बड़ी परीक्षा भी होगी।
