₹ 50,000-Reward Gangster Linked to Sushil Mooch Gang Killed in STF-Police Encounter in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat
A joint operation by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and the Baghpat police culminated in the death of an alleged gangster carrying a reward of ₹50,000 during an exchange of fire in Baghpat district on Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Vipul alias “Khooni”, was believed to be associated with the notorious Sushil Mooch gang and had allegedly been evading law enforcement for years while facing dozens of serious criminal charges across Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
According to police officials, the encounter took place in the Singhawali Ahir police station area after STF personnel from the Meerut unit, working alongside the district police, intercepted the suspect.
During the gunfight, Vipul Singh, a native of Bhabhisa village in Shamli district, sustained bullet injuries.
He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
After the operation, security personnel recovered two .32-bore country-made pistols, several live and empty cartridges, and an Apache motorcycle that the accused had allegedly been using.
Officials claimed the seized weapons and vehicle were taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
Investigators described Vipul as an active sharpshooter of the Sushil Mooch gang, alleging that he played a key role in several violent crimes committed by the syndicate.
Police records indicate that he was wanted in cases involving murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, dacoity, extortion, kidnapping, and offences registered under the Arms Act, Gangsters Act and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Police further stated that a reward of ₹50,000 had been announced by the Shamli police for his arrest in a criminal intimidation case.
They also claimed he had been absconding in connection with a murder case dating back to 2014.
According to officials, despite securing bail, he repeatedly failed to appear before the trial court, leading to the issuance of non-bailable warrants against him.
The investigating agencies alleged that Vipul and his associates were responsible for the 2014 murder of history-sheeter Bhim Bhabhisa.
As per the police version, the victim was allegedly lured to a house in Alam village before being fatally assaulted with iron rods.
Officials also linked him to another sensational case in 2017, alleging that he and his accomplices first looted a vehicle in Saharanpur and later murdered the woman village head of Manpur, suspecting that she had shared information with the police.
Police further claimed that Vipul had attempted to intimidate a prosecution witness in an ongoing murder trial.
He allegedly demanded money, claiming it had been spent on the legal proceedings, and threatened the witness with serious consequences if the payment was not made.
According to official records, Vipul was facing as many as 38 criminal cases registered across Shamli, Baghpat, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Delhi and several other jurisdictions.
Authorities said all mandatory legal procedures, including the statutory inquiry into the police encounter, are being carried out in accordance with established guidelines.
सुशील मूंछ गैंग से जुड़ा ₹50 हजार का इनामी बदमाश बागपत मुठभेड़ में ढेर, एसटीएफ और पुलिस की संयुक्त कार्रवाई
उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस की स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स (एसटीएफ) और बागपत पुलिस की संयुक्त कार्रवाई में शनिवार को ₹50 हजार के इनामी बदमाश की मुठभेड़ में मौत हो गई।
मृतक की पहचान विपुल उर्फ “खूनी” के रूप में हुई है, जिसे कुख्यात सुशील मूंछ गैंग का सक्रिय सदस्य माना जाता था।
पुलिस के अनुसार वह लंबे समय से फरार चल रहा था और उत्तर प्रदेश तथा दिल्ली में उसके खिलाफ कई संगीन आपराधिक मामले दर्ज थे।
पुलिस अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, मेरठ एसटीएफ और बागपत पुलिस ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर सिंघावली अहीर थाना क्षेत्र में घेराबंदी की।
खुद को घिरा देख आरोपी ने कथित रूप से पुलिस टीम पर फायरिंग शुरू कर दी, जिसके बाद जवाबी कार्रवाई में वह गोली लगने से घायल हो गया।
गंभीर रूप से घायल विपुल सिंह, जो शामली जिले के भभीसा गांव का निवासी था, को तत्काल अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, जहां चिकित्सकों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया।
घटनास्थल की तलाशी के दौरान पुलिस ने आरोपी के कब्जे से दो .32 बोर की पिस्तौलें, बड़ी संख्या में जीवित एवं खोखे कारतूस तथा एक अपाचे मोटरसाइकिल बरामद किए।
बरामद हथियारों और वाहन को जांच के लिए कब्जे में ले लिया गया है।
जांच अधिकारियों का दावा है कि विपुल सुशील मूंछ गैंग का शार्पशूटर था और गैंग द्वारा अंजाम दिए गए कई हिंसक अपराधों में उसकी सक्रिय भूमिका रही थी।
पुलिस रिकॉर्ड के अनुसार उसके विरुद्ध हत्या, हत्या के प्रयास, लूट, डकैती, रंगदारी, अपहरण तथा शस्त्र अधिनियम, गैंगस्टर अधिनियम और एनडीपीएस अधिनियम के तहत अनेक मुकदमे दर्ज थे।
अधिकारियों ने बताया कि शामली पुलिस ने एक आपराधिक धमकी के मामले में उसकी गिरफ्तारी पर ₹50 हजार का इनाम घोषित किया था।
वह वर्ष 2014 के एक हत्या मामले में भी वांछित चल रहा था। पुलिस का कहना है कि जमानत मिलने के बावजूद वह लगातार अदालत में पेश नहीं हुआ, जिसके कारण उसके खिलाफ गैर-जमानती वारंट जारी किए गए थे।
पुलिस के अनुसार वर्ष 2014 में कुख्यात अपराधी भीम भभीसा की हत्या की साजिश में भी विपुल की अहम भूमिका थी।
जांच एजेंसियों का आरोप है कि उसने अपने साथियों के साथ मिलकर भीम को आलम गांव स्थित एक मकान में बुलाया और वहां लोहे की सरियों से हमला कर उसकी हत्या कर दी।
वर्ष 2017 की एक अन्य सनसनीखेज वारदात में भी पुलिस ने उसका नाम शामिल किया है।
अधिकारियों के अनुसार विपुल और उसके साथियों ने पहले सहारनपुर में एक वाहन लूटा और बाद में इस शक में कि उसने पुलिस को सूचना दी थी, मानपुर की महिला ग्राम प्रधान की हत्या कर दी।
पुलिस ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि उसने लंबित हत्या के मुकदमे के एक अभियोजन गवाह को धमकाया था।
आरोप है कि उसने मुकदमे में खर्च हुई रकम के नाम पर धन की मांग की और रकम न देने पर गंभीर परिणाम भुगतने की चेतावनी दी।
आधिकारिक अभिलेखों के अनुसार विपुल के खिलाफ शामली, बागपत, मेरठ, मुजफ्फरनगर, सहारनपुर, दिल्ली सहित विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में कुल 38 आपराधिक मामले दर्ज थे।
पुलिस ने बताया कि मुठभेड़ से संबंधित सभी अनिवार्य कानूनी औपचारिकताएं और वैधानिक जांच नियमानुसार पूरी की जा रही हैं।
