Allahabad: A man committed a beastly act after he flung his wife from the terrace of his house resulting in her death.
Before this, the husband Awdhesh Kannaujia assaulted his wife Seema with the help of his family members.
The incident took place in Nyaya Nagar Colony under Dhumanganj police station Saturday night.
The victim’s two daughters Priyanshi 14 and Pihu 12 were in the house and were locked up by their father in their room.
After this, the accused beat up his wife with the help of other members of the family and murdered her.
Frequent family quarrels were reportedly the cause behind this crime.
The victim’s father Ramautar Kannaujia, a retired sub-inspector of police lodged a complaint of murder against his son-in-law and other members involved in the grisly act.
The victim was married in 2007 and lived in Pratapgarh with her father before marriage.
In 2012, the victim’s father lodged a case against his son-in-law at Pratapgarh after his daughter was severely beaten up by her husband and family members.
Some years ago, the accused clerk in the forest department built a house in Dhumanganj and started living there with his family.
