Gurugram Motorcyclist Injured After Car Allegedly Chases and Hits Her on Golf Course Road
Rider says occupants appeared drunk and pursued her before allegedly striking her bike and fleeing; police ask her to file formal complaint.
A confrontation on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road ended with a woman motorcyclist being thrown onto the road after a car allegedly pursued her and collided with her Aprilia RS 457 before speeding away, according to the rider and footage circulating on social media.
The motorcyclist, identified as Sia, was travelling with members of a biking group when the incident occurred on Sunday.
A video posted online appears to show a car bearing a Haryana registration number following the group before moving sharply towards Sia’s motorcycle and hitting it.
Sia alleged that the occupants of the car began following her soon after the group started its ride.
She said she asked them to keep a safe distance, but claimed the occupants responded aggressively and insisted that she stop.
In a video statement shared online, Sia alleged that the men inside the vehicle appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
She said she continued moving ahead because she feared the car might obstruct her path, while another motorcyclist behind her attempted to position himself between the vehicle and her bike.
The pursuit allegedly continued until the car driver moved across Sia’s path.
The motorcycle was struck, sending her onto the road. Her bike was reportedly dragged for a short distance before the car driver accelerated away from the scene.
A fellow rider subsequently followed the fleeing vehicle and caught up with it at a nearby traffic signal.
According to the account, the driver denied being responsible for the crash when confronted. He then drove away once the traffic light changed.
Sia suffered injuries in the incident. Other members of the riding group said her protective riding equipment played an important role in limiting the severity of the injuries.
Speaking about the incident, Sia said the experience left her feeling unsafe while travelling on Gurugram’s roads.
She called for strong action against motorists who, in her view, could endanger others and leave the scene without taking responsibility.
The incident quickly gained traction online, with users expressing anger and tagging Gurugram Police and Haryana Police.
Members of the motoring community called for legal action, including an FIR over alleged dangerous driving, putting another person’s life at risk and fleeing after a collision.
Police have said they are aware of the video and have contacted Sia through Instagram, asking her to submit a formal complaint so that the allegations can be investigated through due legal procedure.
Police spokesperson ASI Sandeep Kumar told the media that the authorities had seen the footage and had reached out to the rider.
He said a formal complaint was necessary for police to begin an investigation into the specific allegations.
The case is therefore awaiting a formal complaint from the rider before police proceed with an investigation based on the allegations made in the video.

गुरुग्राम की Golf Course Road पर रविवार को एक महिला बाइक सवार के साथ हुई कथित सड़क घटना का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर सामने आने के बाद मामला चर्चा में है।
बाइक सवार सिया का आरोप है कि एक कार ने उनका पीछा किया और उनकी मोटरसाइकिल को टक्कर मारने के बाद चालक मौके से निकल गया।
सिया Aprilia RS 457 मोटरसाइकिल पर एक बाइकिंग ग्रुप के साथ सफर कर रही थीं। इसी दौरान हरियाणा नंबर वाली एक कार कथित तौर पर ग्रुप के पीछे चलती रही।
सोशल मीडिया पर साझा किए गए वीडियो में कार को बाइकिंग ग्रुप के पीछे आते हुए देखा जा सकता है और बाद में वह सिया की दिशा में तेजी से मुड़ती नजर आती है।
सिया के अनुसार, सवारी शुरू होने के कुछ समय बाद कार में मौजूद लोगों ने उनका पीछा करना शुरू कर दिया।
उन्होंने कथित तौर पर कार सवारों से सुरक्षित दूरी बनाए रखने को कहा, लेकिन आरोप है कि उनकी प्रतिक्रिया आक्रामक हो गई और उन्होंने सिया को वाहन रोकने के लिए कहा।
ऑनलाइन जारी अपने वीडियो बयान में सिया ने आरोप लगाया कि कार में बैठे पुरुष नशे में दिखाई दे रहे थे। उन्होंने बताया कि वह लगातार आगे बढ़ती रहीं, क्योंकि उन्हें आशंका थी कि कार चालक उनका रास्ता रोकने की कोशिश कर सकता है। उनके पीछे चल रहा एक साथी बाइक सवार कथित तौर पर कार और उनकी मोटरसाइकिल के बीच आने की कोशिश कर रहा था।
सिया के मुताबिक, कार ने पीछा करना जारी रखा और कुछ देर बाद चालक ने उनकी बाइक के आगे वाहन लाने की कोशिश की।
इसी दौरान कार की मोटरसाइकिल से टक्कर हो गई और सिया सड़क पर जा गिरीं। उनका आरोप है कि कार कुछ दूरी तक उनकी बाइक को घसीटने के बाद तेज गति से वहां से निकल गई।
घटना के बाद बाइकिंग ग्रुप में शामिल एक अन्य व्यक्ति ने कार का पीछा किया और पास के एक ट्रैफिक सिग्नल पर उसे रोक लिया।
कथित तौर पर टक्कर के बारे में पूछे जाने पर कार चालक ने जिम्मेदारी लेने से इनकार किया और सिग्नल खुलते ही वहां से चला गया।
हादसे में सिया को चोटें आईं। उनके साथ मौजूद अन्य बाइक सवारों के अनुसार, पूरा सुरक्षात्मक गियर पहने होने के कारण चोटों की गंभीरता कम रखने में मदद मिली।
घटना के बाद सिया ने गुरुग्राम की सड़कों पर अपनी सुरक्षा को लेकर चिंता जताई और प्रशासन से कड़ी कार्रवाई की मांग की।
उनका कहना था कि ऐसे वाहन चालक दूसरों की जान खतरे में डालने के बाद भी मौके से भागने से नहीं डरते।
वीडियो सामने आने के बाद सोशल मीडिया पर लोगों में नाराजगी देखी गई।
कई लोगों और मोटरिंग समुदाय से जुड़े लोगों ने गुरुग्राम पुलिस और हरियाणा पुलिस को टैग करते हुए कथित खतरनाक ड्राइविंग, किसी की जान को खतरे में डालने और दुर्घटना के बाद मौके से भागने के मामले में FIR दर्ज करने की मांग की।
पुलिस ने बताया कि उसे घटना का वीडियो मिल चुका है और अधिकारियों ने सिया से संपर्क करने की कोशिश की है।
पुलिस ने उनसे औपचारिक शिकायत दर्ज कराने के लिए सामने आने को कहा है, ताकि आरोपों की कानूनी प्रक्रिया के तहत जांच शुरू की जा सके।
पुलिस प्रवक्ता ASI संदीप कुमार ने मीडिया को बताया कि पुलिस ने वीडियो देखा है और सिया को इंस्टाग्राम के माध्यम से संदेश भेजकर औपचारिक शिकायत दर्ज कराने के लिए कहा गया है।
उनके अनुसार, शिकायत मिलने के बाद मामले में लगाए गए विशिष्ट आरोपों की जांच शुरू की जा सकती है।
फिलहाल पुलिस की ओर से मामले में आगे की कार्रवाई सिया की औपचारिक शिकायत दर्ज होने पर निर्भर है।
