Meta Alert Sparks Dramatic Police Chase, Noida Cops Save Suicidal Truck Driver in 20-Minute Rescue Mission
Greater Noida: A routine family dispute nearly ended in tragedy when a 38-year-old truck driver, devastated after an argument with his wife over their married daughter, drove away from home with the intention of ending his life.
But what unfolded next became a gripping rescue operation, as a timely alert from social media giant Meta and the swift response of the Uttar Pradesh Police combined to save him just in time.
Before leaving his residence, the emotionally shattered man recorded and uploaded a video on Facebook and Instagram, stating that he was about to take the extreme step.
The distressing post immediately activated Meta’s automated safety monitoring system, which recognised the potential risk and instantly notified law enforcement authorities, triggering an urgent emergency response.
At 10:57 am, the Social Media Centre at the Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters received an email from Meta containing details of the alarming post. Acting without delay,
Director General of Police officials instructed teams to trace the driver’s location. His live coordinates were quickly shared with the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate, setting in motion a high-priority search operation.
As soon as the alert reached Noida, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh personally monitored the unfolding situation. By 11:14 am, officers at Dadri Police Station were informed after the driver’s live location was confirmed to be within their jurisdiction.
Every passing minute increased the urgency as police teams rushed to intercept the moving truck before it was too late.
What followed resembled a real-life rescue thriller. Using continuous GPS updates, police tracked the truck as it travelled along the route. Patrol teams coordinated with each other, calculated their movement, and strategically positioned themselves ahead of the vehicle.
Within nearly 20 minutes, officers successfully intercepted the truck and brought it to a safe halt, preventing what could have turned into a heartbreaking incident.
When officers approached the driver, they found him in a state of extreme emotional turmoil. Instead of rushing him, they carefully helped him step out of the truck, offered him drinking water, and patiently reassured him.
The officers remained by his side, speaking gently and allowing him time to regain his composure.
After calming down, the driver revealed that prolonged family tensions and repeated disagreements with his wife had pushed him into severe mental distress.
He admitted that he had already decided to park the truck at a deserted location and end his life. According to police officials, the intervention came at the final moment, and any further delay could have resulted in an irreversible tragedy.
Following the successful rescue, police contacted the man’s family, informed them about the emergency and the social media alert that had led officers to him, and counselled them about the seriousness of the situation.
After ensuring that he was safe and emotionally stable, the driver was handed over to his family members for further care and support.

ग्रेटर नोएडा: एक पारिवारिक विवाद ने 38 वर्षीय ट्रक चालक को इतना गहरे मानसिक तनाव में धकेल दिया कि उसने अपनी जीवनलीला समाप्त करने का फैसला कर लिया। पत्नी से अपनी विवाहित बेटी को लेकर हुए विवाद के बाद वह घर से ट्रक लेकर निकल पड़ा।
लेकिन आगे जो हुआ, वह किसी रोमांचक पुलिस ऑपरेशन से कम नहीं था। सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म मेटा के एक अलर्ट और उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस की तेज़ कार्रवाई ने कुछ ही मिनटों में उसकी जान बचा ली।
घर से निकलने से पहले चालक ने फेसबुक और इंस्टाग्राम पर एक वीडियो साझा किया, जिसमें उसने स्पष्ट कहा कि वह आत्महत्या करने जा रहा है। यह वीडियो अपलोड होते ही मेटा की स्वचालित सुरक्षा प्रणाली सक्रिय हो गई।
संभावित खतरे को पहचानते हुए सिस्टम ने तुरंत उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस को अलर्ट भेज दिया, जिसके बाद पूरे घटनाक्रम ने आपातकालीन बचाव अभियान का रूप ले लिया।
सुबह 10:57 बजे उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस मुख्यालय स्थित सोशल मीडिया सेंटर को मेटा की ओर से ईमेल के माध्यम से सूचना प्राप्त हुई। मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने तत्काल चालक की लोकेशन ट्रेस करने के निर्देश दिए।
कुछ ही क्षणों में उसकी लाइव लोकेशन गौतमबुद्ध नगर पुलिस कमिश्नरेट की मीडिया सेल के साथ साझा कर दी गई और विभिन्न पुलिस टीमें सक्रिय हो गईं।
नोएडा में सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस आयुक्त लक्ष्मी सिंह ने स्वयं पूरे अभियान की निगरानी शुरू कर दी। 11:14 बजे चालक की लोकेशन दादरी थाना क्षेत्र में मिलने के बाद स्थानीय पुलिस को तुरंत अलर्ट किया गया।
समय तेजी से निकल रहा था और पुलिस के सामने सबसे बड़ी चुनौती थी कि ट्रक चालक तक उस समय पहुँचा जाए, जब वह कोई खतरनाक कदम उठाने से पहले अभी भी रास्ते में हो।
इसके बाद शुरू हुआ सांसें थाम देने वाला पीछा। पुलिस लगातार जीपीएस के माध्यम से ट्रक की लाइव लोकेशन पर नजर बनाए हुए थी। अलग-अलग टीमें समन्वय के साथ आगे बढ़ीं, रास्तों का अनुमान लगाया और रणनीतिक तरीके से ट्रक को घेरने की योजना बनाई।
लगभग 20 मिनट की तेज़ कार्रवाई के बाद पुलिस ने चलते ट्रक को सुरक्षित तरीके से रुकवाया और चालक तक पहुँचने में सफलता हासिल कर ली।
जब पुलिसकर्मी ट्रक तक पहुँचे तो चालक बुरी तरह मानसिक रूप से टूट चुका था। अधिकारियों ने बिना किसी दबाव के उसे ट्रक से नीचे उतारा, पानी पिलाया और बेहद शांत एवं संवेदनशील तरीके से उससे बातचीत शुरू की। धीरे-धीरे उसका तनाव कम हुआ और वह सामान्य बातचीत करने की स्थिति में आया।
पूछताछ के दौरान चालक ने बताया कि पत्नी के साथ लंबे समय से चल रहे घरेलू विवाद और मानसिक दबाव ने उसे पूरी तरह निराश कर दिया था। उसने पुलिस से कहा कि यदि वे कुछ देर और देर से पहुँचते, तो वह किसी सुनसान स्थान पर ट्रक खड़ा कर अपनी जान दे देता।
पुलिस अधिकारियों के अनुसार, यह हस्तक्षेप अंतिम क्षणों में हुआ और कुछ मिनटों की देरी भी दुखद परिणाम ला सकती थी।
बचाव अभियान पूरा होने के बाद पुलिस ने चालक के परिजनों से संपर्क किया, उन्हें पूरे घटनाक्रम और मेटा से मिले अलर्ट की जानकारी दी तथा परिवार को स्थिति की गंभीरता समझाई।
चालक की मानसिक स्थिति सामान्य होने के बाद उसे सुरक्षित रूप से उसके परिवार के सुपुर्द कर दिया गया।
