Prayagraj Fire Department Inspects 20 Coaching Institutes, Orders Immediate Removal of Safety Lapses
Fire Safety Inspection Drive Continues Across Prayagraj
The Prayagraj Fire Department continued its intensive fire safety inspection campaign for the fourth consecutive day, conducting detailed checks at 20 coaching institutes and training centres across the city.
The objective of the exercise was to assess the preparedness of educational institutions and ensure strict compliance with fire prevention and emergency response standards.
During the inspections, officials identified several shortcomings in fire safety arrangements and directed the management of the institutions to rectify the deficiencies without delay.
Authorities warned that negligence in implementing safety measures would invite strict action.
Nearly 1,000 Students and Staff Covered During Inspection
Officials said the inspection teams visited coaching institutes located in the Civil Lines and Yamunapar areas.
As part of the drive, fire safety systems were examined at 16 coaching centres, where around 959 students and staff members were present during the inspections.
The teams checked the availability and working condition of fire extinguishers, emergency exits, evacuation routes, electrical installations, and other essential fire safety equipment.
Institution operators were instructed to ensure that all emergency arrangements remain functional at all times.
Instructions Issued to Eliminate Fire Hazards
Chief Fire Officer Pramod Kumar Sharma said that institutions where deficiencies were found have been served notices with directions to remove the shortcomings immediately.
He said the purpose of the campaign is not only to enforce compliance but also to minimise the risk of fire-related incidents and enhance public safety.
The department also advised coaching operators to conduct regular maintenance of firefighting equipment, keep escape routes free from obstructions, and train staff to respond effectively during emergencies.
Action Against Hotels, Banquet Halls, and Guest Houses Also Continues
Meanwhile, the district administration has intensified enforcement against commercial establishments that fail to comply with fire safety regulations.
Following recommendations submitted by the Chief Fire Officer and the Chief Life Safety Officer, the administration recently ordered the closure of 86 hotels, banquet halls, lodges, and guest houses across the district.
On Friday, action was taken against 12 additional establishments, including Shivansh Grand, Sampoorna, Tiranga Hotel, Shree Banquet, Shahar Hotel, Mahatma Gandhi Marg Civil Lines Hotel, Rangila Resort, Sadabahar Lawn, Ram Bahadur Ram Swarup Krishna Mandap, Aurelia, Karahia, and Prem Vatika, among others, for failing to meet prescribed fire safety norms.
The administration has stated that inspections and enforcement drives will continue to ensure that public places remain safe and fully compliant with fire safety regulations.

अग्नि सुरक्षा अभियान के चौथे दिन 20 कोचिंग संस्थानों की हुई जांच
प्रयागराज में अग्निशमन विभाग ने लगातार चौथे दिन भी व्यापक अग्नि सुरक्षा अभियान जारी रखते हुए शहर के 20 कोचिंग एवं प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों का विस्तृत निरीक्षण किया।
इस अभियान का उद्देश्य शिक्षण संस्थानों में आग से बचाव के इंतजामों की समीक्षा करना और यह सुनिश्चित करना था कि सभी संस्थान निर्धारित सुरक्षा मानकों का पूरी तरह पालन करें।
निरीक्षण के दौरान अधिकारियों को कई स्थानों पर अग्नि सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में कमियां मिलीं। विभाग ने संबंधित संस्थानों के संचालकों को तत्काल इन खामियों को दूर करने के निर्देश दिए और स्पष्ट चेतावनी दी कि सुरक्षा मानकों की अनदेखी करने वालों के खिलाफ नियमानुसार कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
करीब एक हजार विद्यार्थियों और कर्मचारियों की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था का आकलन
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, जांच अभियान सिविल लाइंस और यमुनापार क्षेत्र के कोचिंग संस्थानों में चलाया गया। इस दौरान 16 कोचिंग संस्थानों की सुरक्षा व्यवस्थाओं का विशेष रूप से निरीक्षण किया गया, जहां लगभग 959 विद्यार्थी और कर्मचारी मौजूद थे।
निरीक्षण टीमों ने अग्निशमन यंत्रों की उपलब्धता और कार्यशीलता, आपातकालीन निकास मार्ग, सुरक्षित निकासी व्यवस्था, विद्युत वायरिंग तथा अन्य सुरक्षा उपकरणों की गहन जांच की। संचालकों को निर्देश दिए गए कि सभी सुरक्षा उपकरण हमेशा उपयोग योग्य स्थिति में रखे जाएं और किसी भी आपात स्थिति से निपटने की पूरी तैयारी सुनिश्चित की जाए।
कमियों को तत्काल दूर करने के लिए नोटिस जारी
मुख्य अग्निशमन अधिकारी प्रमोद कुमार शर्मा ने बताया कि जिन संस्थानों में सुरक्षा संबंधी खामियां पाई गई हैं, उन्हें नोटिस जारी कर निर्धारित समय के भीतर सभी कमियां दूर करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि विभाग का उद्देश्य केवल कार्रवाई करना नहीं, बल्कि आग जैसी दुर्घटनाओं की संभावना को कम करना और विद्यार्थियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना है।
उन्होंने कोचिंग संचालकों से नियमित रूप से अग्निशमन उपकरणों की जांच कराने, आपातकालीन निकास मार्ग हमेशा खुले रखने तथा कर्मचारियों को आपदा प्रबंधन और अग्नि सुरक्षा का प्रशिक्षण देने की भी सलाह दी।
होटल, बैंक्वेट हॉल और गेस्ट हाउसों पर भी जारी है प्रशासन की सख्ती
दूसरी ओर, जिला प्रशासन ने अग्नि सुरक्षा मानकों का पालन न करने वाले व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठानों के खिलाफ भी अभियान तेज कर दिया है। मुख्य अग्निशमन अधिकारी और मुख्य जीवन सुरक्षा अधिकारी की रिपोर्ट के आधार पर हाल ही में जिले के 86 होटल, बैंक्वेट हॉल, लॉज और गेस्ट हाउस बंद करने के आदेश जारी किए गए थे।
इसी क्रम में शुक्रवार को 12 और प्रतिष्ठानों पर कार्रवाई की गई। इनमें शिवांश ग्रैंड, संपूर्ण, तिरंगा होटल, श्री बैंक्वेट, शहर होटल, महात्मा गांधी मार्ग स्थित होटल, रंगीला रिजॉर्ट, सदाबहार लॉन, राम बहादुर राम स्वरूप कृष्णा मंडप, औरेलिया, करहिया और प्रेम वाटिका सहित अन्य प्रतिष्ठान शामिल हैं, जहां अग्नि सुरक्षा मानकों में गंभीर कमियां पाई गई थीं।
प्रशासन ने स्पष्ट किया है कि जनसुरक्षा को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देते हुए इस तरह के निरीक्षण और प्रवर्तन अभियान आगे भी लगातार जारी रहेंगे, ताकि सभी सार्वजनिक और व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठानों में अग्नि सुरक्षा मानकों का प्रभावी ढंग से पालन सुनिश्चित किया जा सके।
