The CBI has arrested one of the masterminds in the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak examination that led to countrywide uproar, demonstrations, condemnation and knocking the door of Justice.
It was Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky who after managing to get the paper leaked got it solved and forwarded to one of the accused on the mobile phone.
A special court at Patna has sent him to ten days CBI remand.
Eleven persons have been arrested uptil now in this much touted paper leak case.
According to CBI officials Roky was arrested from Patna by-pass. He hails from Nalanda district in Bihar.
The agency raided three other places in Patna and one in Kolkata.
In order to gather evidence CBI had carried our search operations at fifteen places in Bihar and Jharkhand.
The CBI has lodged six FIRs in this case.
Rocky is said to be related to the main accused Sanjeev.
Sanjeev went into hiding after sensing trouble was hounding him.
The CBI first traced the mail ID of Rocky then with the help of IP address managed to pounce on him.
Meanwhile, the ongoing hearing in several cases lodged by NEET aspirants and others has been postponed till July 18.
All eyes are fixed in this NEET paper leak case which is being heard by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud.
