Teachers’ Day at St Columbus Beli: Teachers Honoured
PRAYAGRAJ: Teachers at the Beli branch of St. Columbus Group of Schools received a special tribute on Teachers’ Day, with the school recognising their individual strengths through a distinctive badge ceremony.
The celebration also featured cultural performances by students, creating a lively and appreciative atmosphere on the campus.
Rather than limiting the occasion to conventional greetings, the school used the programme to highlight the different qualities that teachers bring to their work.
The Teacher Badge Distribution Ceremony became one of the central attractions, with each educator receiving a title reflecting a particular strength or personality trait.
Mrs. Vasudha was recognised as the “Fitness Icon”, while Mrs. Shivani received the “Silent Icon” badge.
Mrs. Priyanjali was honoured with the title “Caring Heart”, and Mrs. Sadhana Srivastava was recognised as the “Discipline Icon.”
Mrs. Pooja received the “Art Queen” title for her association with art and creativity.
The school also acknowledged Mrs. Neha as the “All Rounder”, while Mrs. Urooj was given the “Good Listener” badge.
Mrs. Priyanshi was recognised as the “Sports Star.”
The variety of titles reflected the different qualities through which teachers contribute to the development of their students.
The celebration was made more colourful by student performances.
Anshika, Divyanshi, Isha, Gasiya, Shreya, Adnan, Swastik, Sohal and Ayush were among the students who participated in the cultural presentations.
Their performances drew appreciation from those present and added an energetic touch to the programme.
Teachers’ Day holds a special place in the Indian education calendar as it allows students to acknowledge the people who guide them through their formative years.
The day is observed on September 5 in memory of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a renowned philosopher, educationist,t and former President of India.
His association with teaching has made the occasion a wider reminder of the value of education and the contribution of teachers to society.
Beyond academic lessons, teachers influence students by encouraging discipline, creativity, confidence, teamwork and responsible behaviour.
Recognising such qualities during a school celebration can also help students understand that education involves much more than classroom learning.
Administrative Officer Mr. Gopal Dua and Principal Mrs. Preeti Pathak attended the programme along with the teaching staff.
The presence of the school leadership and teachers added to the spirit of the occasion, which combined student talent with an expression of gratitude towards educators.
The programme thus brought together two important elements of school life—students showcasing their abilities and teachers being appreciated for the qualities they demonstrate in guiding young learners.

प्रयागराज: सेंट कोलंबस ग्रुप ऑफ स्कूल्स की बेली शाखा में शिक्षक दिवस का समारोह इस बार शिक्षकों की विशिष्ट खूबियों को सम्मान देने के अंदाज के लिए खास रहा।
विद्यालय में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में विद्यार्थियों ने सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियों से समां बांधा, वहीं विशेष बैज वितरण समारोह के जरिए शिक्षकों के अलग-अलग गुणों को पहचान दी गई।
समारोह का सबसे आकर्षक हिस्सा टीचर बैज डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन सेरेमनी रहा। इसमें प्रत्येक शिक्षक को उनकी किसी खास विशेषता के आधार पर अलग उपाधि दी गई।
इस अनूठी पहल ने शिक्षकों के व्यक्तित्व के उन पहलुओं को सामने रखा, जो विद्यार्थियों के लिए प्रेरणा का माध्यम बनते हैं।
श्रीमती वसुधा को ‘फिटनेस आइकन’ का बैज मिला, जबकि श्रीमती शिवानी को ‘साइलेंट आइकन’ के रूप में सम्मानित किया गया।
श्रीमती प्रियंजलि को ‘केयरिंग हार्ट’ और श्रीमती साधना श्रीवास्तव को ‘डिसिप्लिन आइकन’ की उपाधि प्रदान की गई।
वहीं श्रीमती पूजा को उनकी कला से जुड़ी विशेषता के लिए ‘आर्ट क्वीन’ का सम्मान मिला।
सम्मान का सिलसिला आगे भी जारी रहा। श्रीमती नेहा को ‘ऑल राउंडर’, श्रीमती उरूज को ‘गुड लिस्नर’ और श्रीमती प्रियांशी को ‘स्पोर्ट्स स्टार’ का बैज दिया गया।
अलग-अलग उपाधियों के माध्यम से यह रेखांकित किया गया कि एक शिक्षक की भूमिका केवल पाठ्यक्रम पूरा कराने तक सीमित नहीं होती, बल्कि उनके व्यक्तित्व की अनेक खूबियां भी विद्यार्थियों के विकास में योगदान देती हैं।
कार्यक्रम में विद्यार्थियों की प्रस्तुतियों ने भी खूब रंग भरा। अंशिका, दिव्यांशी, ईशा, गसिया, श्रेया, अदनान, स्वस्तिक, सोहल और आयुष सहित अन्य विद्यार्थियों ने सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए। विद्यार्थियों के उत्साह और मंच पर उनके प्रदर्शन ने समारोह को जीवंत बना दिया।
शिक्षक दिवस विद्यार्थियों के लिए अपने शिक्षकों के प्रति सम्मान और आभार व्यक्त करने का महत्वपूर्ण अवसर है। भारत में हर वर्ष 5 सितंबर को यह दिवस डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन की जयंती के अवसर पर मनाया जाता है।
वे महान दार्शनिक और शिक्षाविद होने के साथ भारत के प्रथम उपराष्ट्रपति और दूसरे राष्ट्रपति भी रहे।
शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में उनके योगदान के कारण शिक्षक दिवस शिक्षकों की भूमिका को याद करने का विशेष अवसर बन गया है।
विद्यालयी शिक्षा में शिक्षक केवल किताबों और पाठ्यक्रम का ज्ञान देने तक सीमित नहीं रहते।
वे बच्चों में अनुशासन, आत्मविश्वास, रचनात्मकता, सहयोग और जिम्मेदारी की भावना विकसित करने में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं।
ऐसे आयोजन विद्यार्थियों को अपने शिक्षकों के योगदान को समझने और उसका सम्मान करने का अवसर देते हैं।
कार्यक्रम में विद्यालय के प्रशासनिक अधिकारी श्री गोपाल दुआ, प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती प्रीति पाठक तथा सभी शिक्षक मौजूद रहे।
समारोह में विद्यार्थियों की प्रतिभा और शिक्षकों के प्रति सम्मान, दोनों को मंच मिला और शिक्षक दिवस का आयोजन यादगार बन गया।
