Tragic Fire in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi Claims Lives of Three Siblings, CM Announces ₹18 Lakh Aid

Sidhi (Madhya Pradesh): A devastating fire broke out in a mud house in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district on Saturday afternoon, claiming the lives of three young siblings, including two sisters.

The heartbreaking incident has left the entire village in shock and mourning.

According to officials, the fire erupted around 1 pm in Kashihawa village, located nearly 10 kilometres from the district headquarters.

Within minutes, the flames engulfed the kutcha house, leaving little time for rescue efforts.

Despite desperate attempts by residents to control the fire and save the children, the blaze spread rapidly through the structure.

The deceased children have been identified as one-and-a-half-year-old Riddhi Ramratan Saket, six-year-old Sandhya Saket, and three-year-old Nagendra Saket.

All three siblings were trapped inside the house and suffered fatal burn injuries before help could arrive.

Local authorities and police teams rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident.

Preliminary reports suggest that the fire may have started accidentally, although the exact cause is yet to be officially confirmed.

Officials said an investigation has been initiated to determine how the blaze broke out.

The tragic deaths have sparked grief across the region, with villagers describing the incident as one of the most painful tragedies the area has witnessed in recent times. Family members and neighbours were seen inconsolable after the incident.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and described the incident as “extremely painful and heartbreaking.”

He announced financial assistance of Rs 18 lakh for the bereaved family and assured all possible support from the state government.

The incident once again highlights the vulnerability of mud houses and the lack of fire safety measures in many rural areas, especially during the harsh summer season when accidental fires become more common.
