No let up in attempts to derail trains: Miscreants continue keeping hurdles on tracks

After keeping iron rods, solid pieces of iron, wooden logs, and electric poles, miscreants seem to have adopted another method. Now they have started keeping fire extinguishers on railway tracks.

During the last two days, fire extinguishers were found at two places on the railway tracks making it clear that perpetrators of such a crime were not bothered about action against them.
It is another matter that police have not been able to work out a single case properly till now but those involved know that cops were hunting for them.
All these happenings in the past have rattled the railways which have such a wide network of security including the GRP and the RPF.
On Saturday a fire extinguisher was found on the railway track at Jyonathpur railway station in Allahabad district then on Sunday another fire extinguisher was found between Bhimsenpur and Govindpuri railway stations.
Sources say, the forces behind this have a wide network across the entire state and their act speaks that lot many people were involved in this act to express their hidden agenda.

It is clear that the motive behind this was to derail the train but they have not been successful in their act except in one case when a few bogies of a train went off the tracks near Kanpur but there was hardly any damage.

Decades ago there were instances when village boys hurled stones at the passing trains. Their foolish fun deriving acts often caused serious injuries to the passengers but slowly such acts became a thing of the past after the youngsters realised their folly.

But iron rods, wooden logs, and boulders were not being kept for fun sake.
It is high time the security agencies realize the seriousness and nature of the act and catch those responsible for such dangerous acts.
